Pooling Collective Wisdom of India to bring about Positive Change
Aligarh Projects: This project is providing free education to the sons/daughters of lowest earner living and serving AMU. Read a report on the 2011 Scholarship distribution event.
Guidance-cum-Coaching Centres : It involves selective coaching of college graduates (focus on graduate) for competitive exams to enter central government, state government and public sector companies. It also aims to prepare professionals and non-professionals for entering the various industries. One Center, now, Lucknow Guidance-cum-Coaching Center (LGCC) is being managed successfully, by our partner, Aaghaz Foundation, but there is need for many. We look forward to your support in establishing one such centre in every district of India.
Feeder Projects: Feeder Projects: Our active collaborator in this endeavor is Aligarh Alumni Association, Washington DC, which has conceived and launched the innovative Feeder and Coaching Centers projects, to benefit the poor deserving students. Free education to bright and willing youths - a Rs.250 /month stipend for tuition+books-stationary to 5th-12th grade students. We are currently operational in over 15 districts of UP, Bihar, Kashmir, Assam, Bengal, and Karnataka and Kashmir but, we need to reach all districts of India, as soon as possible.
Micro-financing Projects: In Faizabad, we have invested a small amount to provide job/ income to a few families through Rickshaw and Thela (Pull-Cart). These families, in turn, give back a certain percentage to Faiz-e-Aam School system to pay salaries of 10 plus teachers in their various schools. With such a small investment we are helping out many families.... more than 18 families have more income to eat and sustain. This experiment has been so successful that we must undertake this on a large scale, through partner organizations, so that maximum benefits could be extended to all the needy sections of the society.
RAHBAR Coaching to stop drop-outs: RAHBAR, the NGO of Bihar Anjuman (www.biharanjuman.org) provides Coaching to School Students with an aim to minimize drop-out & raise percentage of students from under-represented sections of society, in Colleges and Universities. IWF is currently managing sponsorship of 2 RAHBAR coaching centres in Bihar (Olhanpur village in Saran district, and Tajpur Bazaar under Samastipur district) and 1 RAHBAR coaching centre in Jharkhand (Chitarpur in Ramgarh district). We intend to take this excellent project to all districts of India. Read more about this project.

1. An Alumni Center (funded by alumni). Such a Center should house - a Information-Coaching-Guidance Center, a Library,a Scholarship/ Projects Office.
2. Establish a "Talent Bank / Think-tank" to discuss, debate and research the Aligarh Movement in today's context- Work-shops, Vocational Training camps, Seminars, Summer University, selective coaching, etc.
3. An "Education Fund" for all poor but deserving youths.
