Our Objectives
Pooling Collective Wisdom of India to bring about Positive Change
A. Economic Empowerment: The society will work for the economic upliftment of the poorest of the poor through various programmes of income generation. The objective is economic empowerment of the deprived and marginalized sections of the society particularly Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward castes, Religious or Linguistic Minorities, Physically Challenged and Women.
i. Forming Self Help Groups (SHGs) of specified number of people as per their interest and skills.
ii. Encouraging small savings by creating SHGs and facilitating micro-credit to SHGs through institutional credit system.
iii. Promoting small scale industries, village and cottage industries and petty business.
iv. Promoting agro based industries, rural handicrafts and liasoning with nodal agencies for promotion of fair trade and consumer awareness.
v. Facilitating direct access of products to the market.
vi. Promoting low cost and alternative technology.
vii. Providing impetus to the cooperative movement.
viii. To undertake, carry out, promote, establish, set up, conduct aid, help or otherwise sponsor rural development and uplift including any programme for the social and economic welfare of, or the uplift of the public in any rural/urban areas, either directly or through an independent agency.
ix. Educate and promote, the people of the society at large to adopt the suitable technique for the development of agriculture environment and handicrafts.
B.Advocacy, Networking and Alliance Building
i. For Promoting and protecting the rights of individuals and communities, advocacy can be taken up.
ii. For people centred advocacy, networks, forums and alliances can be formed.
C. Research, Documentation, Communication and Publications
i. To undertake, encourage, support others in undertaking the research on Arts, Science, Religions or Rights of Citizens;
ii. To undertake activities related to planning, monitoring and evaluation of any national or international development programs at village, block, district, state and national level.
iii. Establish, maintain, manage, control and run educational centre for making the present system more effective and practical by using means of research and creativity.
iv. To develop training modules and documents on issues connected with citizens and publish the same for larger dissemination.
D. Education, perspective and capacity building
i. To impart education and/or training by opening any Institution, Coaching and Guidance Centre, School, College etc. for imparting General as well as Vocational Education.
ii. To build capacity of citizens on Rights based approach at grassroots, state and national level.
iii. To build perspective of citizens, community, NGOs, civil society , networks and forums on development processes.
E. Public Health and Family Planning
i. To spread awareness about impact of sexually transmitted disease (e.g. HIV/AIDS) among the high-risk groups and work for their betterment and rehabilitation.
ii. To organize immunization/ vaccination/ blood donation programmes, camps and/or blood banks.
iii. To promote maternal and childcare / pre-natal and postnatal medical care.
iv. To spread awareness about donation of human organs after death.
v. To provide ambulance services and mobile health clinics.
vi. To generate awareness about family planning and its norms.
vii. To campaign for public health issues and hygiene for combating menace of various communicable and non-communicable diseases.
viii. To campaign against the menace of drug / alcohol abuse, work for rehabilitation of the addicts and work for reduction of incidence of drug / alcohol abuse.
F. Social Justice:
i. To work for attitudinal changes and socio-political upliftment of the deprived and marginalized sections of the society particularly Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward castes, Religious and Linguistic minorities, Physically Challenged and Women.
ii. To undertake measures for social cohesion, conflict resolution and peace building among different sections of the society namely Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward castes, Religious and Linguistic minorities.
iii. Campaign for women’s empowerment, gender sensitization, gender equity, campaign against female child discrimination, female infanticide, dowry related harassment and exploitation of women.
iv. To campaign against the ill effects of child labour, juvenile delinquency and to facilitate child care centers.
v. To spread awareness about child adoption and maintaining rehabilitation house for orphans.
vi. To open schools and provide quality education to the children.
vii. To facilitate non-formal education and computer literacy programmes.
viii. To organize sports and cultural programmes of youth.
ix. To promote communal harmony, national unity and integration, universal brotherhood and international peace.
x. To establish and maintain rural learning centers.
xi. To maintain old age homes and facilitate emotional, social and economic support to the aged.
xii. To establish, maintain and / or support public places, Homes, Dharamsala, guest house, Orphan House, Widow-House, poor house, Night Shelters, aim house, Nari Kalyan Samities of every nature and / or similar centers and support them by grant in cash or kind; Relief and help to the physically challenged such as blind, lame, deaf, dumb, orphans and persons otherwise disabled or not capable of earning their livelihood or any one or more to be given as grants and aids (financial or otherwise) and /or maintenance, establishment and support of institutions and homes for the benefit for such persons.
xiii. To set up autonomous bodies / institutions to carry out the above aims and objectives.
